In some cases, such as giving a timed quiz in Moodle, students may need accommodations like extra time or a different time period to take the quiz.
To do this, you need to add User Overrides to the quiz or assignment.
To add a User Override, the first thing you have to do is open the quiz or other activity that needs the accommodation. Inside the quiz, scroll down to the Administration block on the left side and select User Overrides.
Next, select Add user override. Once selected, you are able to search for the student(s) who need accommodations. Through this, you can adjust the time when the quiz is accessible to the student(s), how much time they have, and how many attempts they have.
Once you have adjusted the accommodations how you wish, click Save.
If you wish to delete the override, under User overrides all the modifications show up and you can just click the “X” on the far right of the override you wish to delete.
